For those sick of resorting to the white faux-silk yarmulkes for high or other Jewish holidays (like this week’s Passover), I present Jonathan Adler’s needlepoint yarmulkes. Hey, if kids can wear them in various motifs (I seem to remember a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle craze way back when), then why can’t adults? These come in three styles: pop (pictured), tonal and mosaic, and my Orthodox friends tell me that, even though the designs are definitely unorthodox, they are perfectly acceptable in a place of worship.
