For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out, including a new sunscreen from Supergoop!, a line of elevated basics from Urban Outfitters, and a restock of the Malibu Barbie x FUNBOY pool floats.
Supergoop! Every. Single. Face. Watery Lotion
Supergoop!, which makes some of our favorite sunscreens (Rio loves to use the popular Unseen Sunscreen as both sun protection and makeup primer), has launched Watery Lotion. Its newest SPF is formulated to work well for every skin type and tone, thanks to a lightweight consistency and a non-greasy feel. In addition to an SPF of 50 (the highest we’ve seen in a Supergoop! Face sunscreen thus far), it uses ingredients like cress sprout to help skin retain moisture and filter pollutants, as well as wild butterfly ginger root, an antioxidant that apparently helps with blue light.
Weleda Unscented Hand Cream
Also on the skin-care front, Weleda released an unscented version of its popular hand cream, which we’ve written about before. Reviewers rave about its ability to deeply hydrate even the most cracked hands. The unscented version has the same cocktail of nourishing ingredients — namely, coconut and jojoba oil — but without the fragrance, ideal for sensitive skin (or noses).
The Ordinary Hair Care
The Ordinary, which has made a name for itself in skin care (and here at the Strategist) with its affordable-yet-effective formulas, has ventured into hair care. The line has just three products: a gentle color-safe shampoo that uses mild sulfates, a behentrimonium chloride conditioner meant to make hair ultrasoft and touchable, and a super-concentrated, peptide-packed scalp serum that’s formulated to make hair look thicker and fuller.
KOTO for Urban Outfitters
We’re always on the hunt for easy, nice-looking basics, so we were excited to learn about this line of elevated basics from Urban Outfitters called Koto. The seven-piece collection is made from responsibly sourced and recycled materials and includes ribbed tank tops, slouchy polos, baby tees, and a notched crewneck that would be an ideal transitional piece for spring. The aforementioned crewneck is made from GRS-certified recycled cotton and is available in three shades: honey (an amber yellow-brown), ivory, and washed black, pictured here.
TOMS X Peppa Pig
For the Peppa Pig stan in your life, there’s this collaboration with Toms, which should fit in nicely with their Peppa Reeboks and Hunter rain boots. The collection gives three of Toms’ kids’ styles a Peppa makeover, turning the characters into an allover print. These sneakers from the collaboration feature a Hula-Hooping Peppa and have an adjustable hook-and-loop closure that makes them easy to get on and off.
Flower by Edie Parker One-Hitter Necklace
We regularly recommend Edie Parker’s luxe smoking accessories, which range from a banana-shaped glass pipe to vintage-looking acrylic table lighters. The brand recently expanded into wearables with a heart-shaped one-hitter necklace, which is designed to give the wearer a “perfect puff.” It comes in three colors — green, gray, and pink — and is big enough to be an outfit-making statement piece.
Uniqlo U Spring/Summer 22
We’re longtime fans of Uniqlo here at the Strategist, so it’s no surprise that we’re excited about the spring-summer collection, which was released late last week. This year’s collection was designed (again) by Christophe Lemaire and features pared-back simple layering pieces in neutral, spring-y shades. Standouts include this cropped overshirt jacket, which has a military-meets-chore jacket design and adjusters at the waist to create a more rounded silhouette.
Funboy x Barbie
Every once in a while, a collaboration is so popular that a brand will restock it. Such is the case with the Malibu Barbie x Funboy collection, which we wrote about last year. That means you have one more shot to snag a private jet-shaped floatie. We doubt this will happen again, so if you’re thinking of grabbing one, don’t dillydally.
Jenna Lyons x Mejuri
Stylist Jenna Lyons has teamed up with Strat-favorite jewelry brand Mejuri, which makes some of our favorite everyday-jewelry pieces. The three-piece collection includes an extra-long herringbone chain made from gold vermeil and two pinkie rings. Five dollars from each sale go toward the Mejuri Empowerment Fund, which works with various charities to provide support for women and nonbinary people.
Banana Republic Baby
Banana Republic recently launched a line of neutral-colored baby clothes made from high-quality fabrics like supima cotton and cashmere. According to the brand, everything was designed with sustainability in mind and meant to be passed down from baby to baby. Safari motifs abound, ranging from zebra stripes to utility detailing and tropical prints. Some of the items are also available with matching pieces for Mom.
Magic Spoon Cereal Bars
Magic Spoon makes some of our favorite protein-packed cereal. Contributing editor Jessica Silvester raves that the low-carb, keto-friendly cereal keeps her full for hours. Now, you can take Magic Spoon on the go with its new cereal bars, which come in two flavors: cocoa peanut butter and cookies and cream. Each bar contains one gram of sugar, four net carbs, and ten grams of protein (just three grams less than a bowl of Magic Spoon cereal). It’s also grain and gluten free and doesn’t use artificial colors or sweeteners. The bars come in packs of 16, and you can choose from a single-flavor or a variety pack for the same price ($39).
Harley-Davidson x Champion by Todd Snyder
This one’s a bit complicated, so let us explain. Classic menswear brand Todd Snyder has teamed up with Champion on a co-branded collection with Harley-Davidson. The three-way collaboration includes vintage-looking racer tees, coveralls, and this checkered collared camp shirt, which takes its inspiration from mid-’50s Harley products. Checker print is everywhere right now, so it’s of the moment, too.
