What Martha Hunt Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair, but the hand sanitizer and the electric toothbrush. We asked Martha Hunt, model and Victoria’s Secret Angel, which items she can’t live without.

“I love exploring different eye palettes, and I was trying on different things when I found that this one really makes the blue in my eyes pop. The texture is really great, too. It stays on for a long time and doesn’t move. It’s going to be really great for summer.”

“I like reading National Geographic when I’m traveling, which is all the time. I just read this National Geographic article called “Beyond Human” that I’ve been obsessed with. It was about how the evolution of mankind has been really slow, but it’s going to speed up to keep up with artificial intelligence, which keeps evolving really fast as well. It just blew my mind. It also talked about how a colony of people on Mars would evolve to be taller to deal with less gravity. I’m a nerd, and I love stuff like that.”

“A makeup artist once told me, ‘You’re still wearing moisturizer at night? What are you thinking?’ You need serums because moisturizer just rubs off on your pillow. That was a life-changing moment for me. I’m on the dry side, and serums help prevent fine lines. I’m often shooting in the sun, and I should be better about staying out of the sun in my free time, but I can tell a visible difference when I put this on, that this pumps up my skin. I’ve tried so many, but this one is really, really hydrating on me. My skin really drinks it up.”

“I love my Kindle because I can fit so many books on it. Right now, I’m rereading The Alchemist. It’s one of the first books I read since moving to New York, and it’s been almost ten years, so it feels like an appropriate time to get back in touch with the story. It has a powerful message about manifesting your own destiny, and it’s also easy to read.”

“I have to work out all the time for my job, and I’m always trying to figure out what’s the best workout to do in my hotel room. I end up using resistance bands and ankle weights a lot. I probably do abs the most when I travel because it’s easy to do in your room without any equipment, but I have TRX resistance bands that are really good and easy to bring with me everywhere.”

“It’s funny, I’ve been asking my boyfriend for a menswear watch for so long and just never received one — but I have received other beautiful jewelry — and then this past birthday, at the end of April, I got one. I love the way a clunky menswear watch looks on a woman, and I love to mix masculine and feminine pieces because I think it’s sexy.”

“I love music, and I’m really into the new Kendrick album right now. I’m also a huge Frank Ocean fan, so I’ve been listening to his new blonded RADIO station. I like finding new music on there.”
