If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what everyday stuff famous people add to their carts — like hair spray or an electric toothbrush. We asked Lil Nas X — who stars in the digital series for YSL Beauty’s MYSLF Le Parfum — about the peppermints, roll-on aftershave, and furry boots he can’t live without.

I love Twizzlers. They’re my favorite candy because they’re not too sweet or overly sugary. It’s a cool snack to just like [Makes munching noises].

I use it all the time because I’m on this recording software called Logic that I use to record myself before I go and create the actual demos of songs. It is just more fun and freeing, and I don’t have to worry about what anybody else thinks. Which brings me to my corded earbuds. I know they’re a little outdated, but I like using the mic on these. I guess people don’t use them as much anymore, but I’ve been enjoying using them. Reject modernity, right?

I have to have peppermint gum or candy all the time just in case I want to go into someone’s face and talk all confidently and whatnot. I’ll never have to worry about my breath smelling like what I ate earlier.

I’m just learning to shave by myself. I like to shave down the sides of my face and it can get really bumpy, but this oil keeps it down to a minimum.

I started wearing princess crowns recently because it’s fun. I like to remind myself that I am a princess. I got the original one from Party City and it says “Mom to Be,” but then I just got someone to get me an actual crown so people don’t keep asking me, “You’re going to be a mom?”

I started wearing beaded bracelets when I went to Taylor Swift’s Eras concert, and now I get different versions just for fun. I have one with the title of my upcoming album, Dreamboy. And I got one from an Adele concert actually. One of her fans gave it to me, and it says “Oh My God,” one of her songs. I also have one that says “I Heart Boobies” for breast-cancer awareness that I got from the Zumiez store.

I’ve been wearing a lot of G-Shock watches lately. I am really in love with them. I used to want them so bad when I was in sixth grade, but I couldn’t get them in sixth grade because of the money and stuff, so now that I have money, I can go and get me a G-Shock watch. My favorite one is the hot pink one. And the second one is a gray chromey watch that I like to wear.

I’ve been really into mood rings. I have heart-shaped mood rings, and I also have a bunch of them in oval and square shapes. I just like the way they change colors randomly. I think it’s really fun and cute. I get them from random little stores on a Sunday, almost like a flea-market kind of thing.

For the last two years, I’ve been wearing Moon Boots out all the time. I have these pink furry ones that are so cute.

I like to drape this on before I go out or to a party where I have people all up on me. They’re like, “What’s that smell?” and I say, “Oh, it’s my smell.” It has this kind of musk to it, a masculine scent that I’m not used to usually, but it’s very refreshing. I’ve done a lot of makeup stuff for YSL Beauty, but this is a nice change to a very clean, sleek look. It feels good to have this scent all over my body.
