J.Crew has a lot of sales, but my belief is that you should generally wait until it’s having a sale-on-sale to get the really good discounts. And right now, J.Crew Factory (which is already far cheaper than regular J.Crew) is participating in the best discount that the brand ever offers: an extra 70 percent off clearance items until tomorrow night at 11:59 p.m. ET.
There’s a cache of long-sleeved tops and sweaters for over 80 percent off (with the caveat that stock varies greatly by color, so I’d suggest filtering by size). But perhaps best deal of the bunch is this $11 henley, which fashion writer Ambar Pardilla found while rummaging through the sale and promptly purchased. “I like the figure-hugging ribbing,” she says. “It seems to have a nice neckline that’s not too low, and it’s something that’ll look good tucked or untucked.” It’s one of the few sale items that’s still got all sizes and colors available: XXS through 3X in beige, ocher, baby blue, and the navy-blue color below (which is the one Pardilla bought). It’s woven from a cotton blend that includes 5 percent elastane, so it’ll be a nice little stretchy layer under piles of heavy winter sweaters and puffers.
