Maison Margiela’s scents, whether in perfume or candle form, are a luxurious purchase that fragrance obsessives say are actually worth the hefty price tag. But it’s always better to wait for a discount to buy such pricey items, so I was delighted to spot a trio of 2.4-ounce candles from the brand’s Replica line on sale at Nordstrom. The scents include Jazz Club, a spicy blend of pink pepper, rum, and tobacco leaf; Lazy Sunday Morning, a floral linen featuring pear, iris, and white musk; and Bubble Bath, which has notes of rose, lavender, and jasmine. Drag queen Shea Couleé wears the fragrance version of Lazy Sunday Morning, which she calls “very neutral.” It’s earned her a compliment from none other than RuPaul, she told us: “RuPaul always smells amazing herself, so she really knows her stuff when it comes to fragrance.”
Right now, the set is on sale at Nordstrom for $59.50, which shakes out to just under $20 per candle. The brand doesn’t go on sale very often, so 30 percent off is a pretty hefty discount, in my opinion.
