It’s absolutely freezing out, so there’s really no better time to shop Patagonia’s Winter Sale, which includes some of the best deals you’ll find on (very) warm things, including a selection of the brand’s puffers, beanies, and mittens. A week into the sale, sizes are going quickly, but this retro-inspired, lightly insulated coat is still available in most sizes and is discounted by 40 percent, bringing the price down to $149 from the original $249. It’s designed with a relaxed fit, making it perfect for throwing on top of all of your other layers, and has elasticized cuffs and a drop-tail hem to keep the cold out. The chore-coat-esque pockets on the front would be ideal for holding your phone and wallet, and there are secure-looking zippered chest pockets, too. All available colors of the puffer are discounted; I’m partial to this understated navy, but the deep evergreen, burnt orange, and sky blue are quite appealing, too.
