The sales have been somewhat quiet this week, but the Strategist Slack chat has not. We spent an entire workday discussing the pros and cons of the Big Light, so I thought it only fitting to drop a few on-sale lamps into today’s list for team Small Light.
Many of the other items I found came from hours of scrolling through the sales pages at Nordstrom, Old Navy, Amazon, and more to find the few worth-it deals, like a water flosser for 40 percent off and $10 multipacks of Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap. But one sale you don’t have to dig through is Abercrombie & Fitch’s sitewide sale. Everything is at least 25 percent off — though plenty of stuff is half off or more! — and available sizes are aplenty.

An amazing deal on my favorite brow gel!
This Rio-approved acne spot treatment is nearly half off. It attacks pimples from two fronts: It’s got 5.5 percent benzoyl peroxide to kill bacteria and exfoliating lipohydroxy acid to remove debris and dead skin cells.
Last week, beauty writer Tembe Denton-Hurst rounded up all the best skin-care deals she could find across the internet — and this tinted mineral sunscreen from EltaMD is still on sale.
I occasionally see Mrs. Meyer’s soap go on sale outside Prime Day, but rarely do I see several scents at once! I just bought the limited-edition Compassion Flower, which is floral without being too overpowering, but I’m compelled by Oat Blossom and Apple.
Our best overall water flosser has “the strongest engine on the market,” according to one dentist we spoke to.
If your hair is also constantly windswept or staticky this time of year, consider this Strategist-approved flat iron, which is the cheapest I’ve seen it in a while.
Here’s a pretty all-cotton pointelle cardigan, which is much less than the Leset one I’ve been coveting.
A Valentine’s Day sweatshirt for the kid who loves an on-theme outfit (though this definitely works year-round).
Strategist contributor Sarah Leon’s High Sport–like maternity pants from Old Navy are 30 percent off. “In a moment when I felt weird and lumpy — like I didn’t look like myself, but I also didn’t look like the glowing, obviously pregnant person I would be — they made me feel good,” she says.
Free People rarely has good sales, so I prefer to search for deals from the brand at Nordstrom — and lo, I spotted some cute Fair Isle leggings for 25 percent off.
Abercrombie & Fitch is having a particularly good sitewide sale this weekend. For all our top picks, check out junior writer Bella Druckman’s coverage of the sale here, but I’d like to point out that our favorite high-waisted jeans (especially for petite women) are under $60.
Another good denim deal: Select styles are 30 percent off at Levi’s this weekend, including our beloved Wedgie jeans.
It’s a good time to get one of Levi’s iconic sherpa-lined jackets for under $100.
If a puffer isn’t your vibe for the current winter vortex, this handsome topcoat is just $99.
A decidedly non-basic teddy coat for 30 percent off.
And a cute option for kids for over 50 percent off — a high discount for Mini Boden.
Also at Nordstrom: Some Hunter boots for kids are up to 33 percent off in select colors.
This fuzz-lined version is just $10 more and comes in classic black as well as baby pink.
These beige-and-white Autry sneakers are a good closet staple.
A cute quilted bag that can be worn as either a tote or string purse.
There are plenty of Valentine’s Day–appropriate jewels to be found at Mondo Mondo’s winter sale.
While rounding up all the best vacuums on sale this week, I came across this handheld one from Black+Decker. It has a slim nozzle that can reach nooks and crannies, and it even swivels to let you clean sideways.
The Shark Navigator Lift-Away is a great fits-anyone vacuum. It’s lightweight, versatile, and has a detachable pod for cleaning stairs and other narrow spaces.
Very rare to see a 60 percent discount on linen bedding. True don’t dillydally situation here!
Are you team Big Light or Small Light? After a lively discussion, we found that most of the Strategist team prefers a variety of floor and table lamps to create cozy living spaces. I’m fond of this glossy light I found in West Elm’s clearance section.
A mid-century-modern lamp with a near-invisible cord.
Here’s a nice-looking lamp shade if you already have a base you like.
A lamp for those who feel the same way about bananas as Kumail Nanjiani.
Our home writer Erin Schwartz tipped me off to an excellent deal on this Best in Class feather-filled couch. (It’s an affordable dupe for the RH Cloud sofa.)
Not a huge discount — but a rare one! — on Muji’s celebrity-approved suitcases.
