Fair warning: Tempur-Pedic’s Tempur-Neck pillow isn’t for everyone. But if sturdy neck support is what you’re after, you can’t do much better. Made from firm, dense memory foam, this wave-shaped pillow has a bolster on one end to support your neck and comes in three different heights (3.5 inches, 4 inches, or 4.75 inches) so you can choose the best one for your body size. When I tested the Tempur-Neck, the atypical shape was surprisingly comfortable, even though it was ultimately a bit too firm for my taste. It is very beloved, though, by Strategist senior editor Simone Kitchens, who regularly used to wake up feeling sore until it greatly reduced her neck pain. All three sizes of the Tempur-Neck are currently on sale for up to 33 percent off; you’ll want to choose a size based on the length of your shoulder between the base of your neck and the outer edge of your arm, especially if you’re a side sleeper. (The shorter the measurement, the smaller the pillow, so that your head stays in line with your neck and spine.)
