Back in March, we had a new mom test out the SNOO — the Dr. Harvey Karp–developed and Yves Behar–designed bassinet that can sense when an infant is crying and automatically rock her back to sleep, so parents can sneak in a few more hours of shut-eye in between feedings. That is exactly what our mom-reviewer liked about it: “SNOO was most effective rocking [my baby] to sleep after nighttime feedings. She would doze off immediately. And you have no idea how grateful I was to have those extra, precious minutes of sleep for myself.” And recently, our on-maternity-leave Strategist editor Jessica Silvester reported to us that her SNOO has been a life changer. She said: “My 3-month-old has been sleeping about nine hours straight through, and I thought it was just luck, but then a couple of times he had a bad night, and I realized it was because I hadn’t properly turned on the SNOO! So it’s really the difference between him sleeping through the night and not.” These puppies don’t come cheap, though, which is why it’s notable that right now they’re $350 off.
