Welcome back to Your Shopping Cart, wherein we break out the top ten products that you, devoted Strategist readers, all bought in droves. Think of this as the tl;dr of the Strategist: If your like-minded brethren are buying these items, maybe you’d like to, too.

Skin-care products comprise half of this week’s list, with five out of ten spots dedicated to getting skin glowing and banishing pimples. One of these entries — a brightening vitamin C serum — is new, while the rest are old favorites. The legendary pimple patches hold steady at No. 2; a painful pore mask drops from the top spot to third place; the serum that gives one of our writer’s “glass skin” is at No. 8, down from No. 6; and a snail essence is back on the list in ninth place after a brief hiatus. A fancy lube and one of our top grooming picks for guys — this popular beard trimmer — hold down their spots from the last list at fourth and fifth place, respectively. We’ve also got two more returning hits — blue-light-blocking glasses inch up from eighth place to sixth, and last list’s tenth place hemp-oil capsules make the jump to No. 7. And finally, in tenth place, an adorable, colorful xylophone ideal for 1-year-olds.

1. This $22 Serum Gave Me Clear, Hydrated (and Even Bouncy) Skin (Last Installment: New entry)

We’re always on the lookout for a new vitamin C serum, so when Strategist writer Liza Corsillo revealed that she’s been using this relatively inexpensive formula for two years and that it “works better than any other product to clear my skin while gently helping to prevent wrinkles,” we were immediately onboard. Looks like a lot of you were, too, and this newcomer — which also features some of our other favorite ingredients, like niacinamide and hyaluronic and salicylic acid — breaks onto the list in first place.

2. The Google Doc I Send to People Who Ask About My Skin (2)

By now, you’re probably more than familiar with these zit-erasing pimple patches that have been stalwarts on our best-seller list ever since Strat beauty writer Rio Viera-Newton introduced us to them in her epic skin-care Google-doc post: “[T]he Holy Grail. Drop everything and buy them. Not even going to explain, will just say if you pop or pick a zit, put this on immediately afterward, go to bed, and in the morning you’ll see what I’m talking about and thank me.”

3. The ‘Most Painful Mask Ever’ Is Like a Dyson for My Pores (1)

It’s not called “Hell-Pore” for nothing. Despite its reputation as the “world’s most painful mask,” this peel-off mask stays in the top three — down a couple spots from No. 1 last week. Writer Garrett Munce’s review seems to refute the pain factor of this mask, however, and instead lauds its effectiveness: “Whenever I use it, every single blackhead on my face is gone — my pores become microscopic, like I’ve taken a Dyson to them.” This obviously struck a nerve (or pore or two) with Strat readers.

4. What Is the Best Lube? (4)

It might be one of the things we don’t talk about, but lube is definitely something you’re buying, as this fancy lube holds steady in fourth place. Samantha Bard, co-owner of the sex-positive shop Shag in Williamsburg, raved about this very elegant-looking lube: “Uberlube is THE BEST. Not joking — it is one of the highest-quality silicone lubes out there. Plus, it comes in the classiest bottle you’ve ever seen. Aside from being a staff favorite, it is also a customer favorite!”

5. What’s the Best Beard Trimmer? (5)

This beard trimmer, with a radial dial that lets you choose lengths down to the half-millimeter (for guys who don’t want to go totally clean-shaven), clings to its fifth-place spot another week. Writer Kurt Soller loves how it keeps stray hairs out of the sink: “A vacuum-suction feature that collects the majority of your shaven hairs — up to 90 percent of them, according to the company, but who really knows? All I can say is that this is a godsend.”

6. Do Blue-Light-Blocking Glasses Actually Do Anything? (8)

Since we spend most of our time looking at screens, it’s not surprising that we’ve been curious about blue-light-blocking glasses designed to filter out the active blue light that causes eyestrain. Strat writer Maxine Builder did a deep dive on the subject and found that these affordable, orange-hued glasses are the ones used in scientific studies and have been shown to improve sleep.

7. The Best CBD and Hemp Products for the Tasteful Non-Stoner (10)

These hemp-oil capsules made their debut on our last list in the tenth-place spot, and now the CBD-infused chill pills are moving up in the world to No. 8. According to writer Michelle Lhooq, these are “some of the strongest out there, and popping one is the simplest way to get your chill on.” Strat readers are clearly game to try.

8. The ‘Glass Skin’ Serum Hoarded by Editors and Redditors Is Back in Stock (6)

Our writer Lori Keong has glowing skin, and she attributes it to this Holy Grail serum by Peach & Lily that she calls “no hyperbole, the best hydrating serum I’ve ever tried.” Thanks to this glowing endorsement (and her glowing “glass skin,” which she explains is the “Korean beauty technique of prepping your skin so it looks so healthy and hydrated that it looks practically translucent”). After selling out — perhaps thanks to your enthusiasm — the product is now back in stock, so get it while you can.

9. For the One-Year Anniversary of My Skin-Care Google Doc, I Updated It (Off last list)

On the first anniversary of her famous Google doc, Rio blessed us once again with an updated version full of the products that she discovered over the past 12 months. Some things truly stand the test of time, though, and this snail-mucin essence still has a place in her daily routine. “If you’re struggling with dryness, acne, fine lines, or dull skin, definitely consider trying this product,” she wrote, and lots of you took her advice.

10. The Best Gifts for a 1-Year-Old (7)

It can be tricky to shop for a friend’s little one when you aren’t sure what kids of their age are interested in or what’s developmentally appropriate. We asked an expert to recommend the best first-birthday gifts, and one of her top picks was this award-winning toy that’s great for interactive play. “In addition to being a musical instrument, it allows kids to experiment with cause and effect.”
