Many of you are (wisely) taking advantage of this Prime Day to save considerable amounts of money on robot vacuums. And while the highly rated Roomba 692 and Roomba i7+ are 40 and 50 percent off, respectively, we’d like to call your attention to an even cheaper (and arguably better) robot vacuum that’s had a full $100 knocked off its regular retail price.
That would be Eufy’s G20 robot vacuum. Not only did we name it the best overall robot vacuum after an expert-driven investigation, but the G20 is also the newest version of the same robot vacuum our senior writer Liza Corsillo credits with saving her relationship. Writing about how intelligently the device operates, Corsillo explains that it’s “smart enough to avoid ledges and other obstacles and has chunky, pressure-sensitive wheels so it can roll over uneven surfaces like a tiny off-roading tank.” The Eufy, she adds, also notices “if it’s on a carpet or a hard surface and adjusts for the difference.” On top of that, experts told us this latest model pilots itself to the charging dock: If the battery gets low, the vacuum will stop and return to the station, and when fully charged, it can resume where it left off.
As for how much dust and detritus it can pick up, the G20 has a suction power of 2,500 pascals. That’s nothing to scoff at, considering we learned while reporting that 2,000 pascals is “enough suction to pick up AA batteries off your floor.”
