If You Buy One Thing on Prime Day, It Should Be a Vitamix Blender

Editor’s note: No Vitamix sale is forever, and unfortunately one of the blenders in this story — the Professional Series 750 — has already sold out. That said, the other two (excellent) discounted Vitamix blenders below remain available, so don’t dilly-dally.

In the three years I’ve worked at the Strategist, I’ve noticed there’s a rare category of products that aren’t only approved by experts, editors, and tastemakers alike but continue to be recommended month after month, year after year. Vitamix blenders are definitely in that group — our staffers use them year-round for smoothies, soups, and frozen cocktails, and countless chefs, wellness fanatics, and Amazon reviewers say they’re a kitchen essential that make recipes more enjoyable (and much more achievable). They’re so good, in fact, that in our guide to the very best blenders, writer Emma Wartzman makes a point of explaining that Vitamix “reigns supreme in the blender universe. Many of the people I spoke with own various models — it is, hands down, the most lauded brand across the board, making the kinds of pieces that will last you an actual lifetime.”

Given their quality and reputation, the only issue with these blenders is they typically come with a high price point. But this Prime Day, three of Vitamix’s best are significantly discounted. Take the top-of-the-line Professional Series 750 Blender, which is now less than $400, a discount of over $200 from its typical $630 asking price. (The last time that model was this cheap was on Black Friday last year.) While it’s still an investment even with the discount, know that you’ll be getting one of the most powerful, well-reviewed blenders on the market and will have access in your own home to the kind of industrial-strength blender you see on professional chefs’ wish lists and in Michelin-starred kitchens.

In the words of our editor (and Vitamix owner) Maxine Builder, picking one up will enable you to “make hummus from canned chickpeas, blend frozen bananas into a creamy faux ice cream, even purée vegetables into hot soup.” It’s great for drinks too — Builder’s Vitamix turned her fiancé into a devotee; now he reaches for the blender to perfect his “whole citrus fruits and lots of tequila” frozen-margarita recipe. You’ll find the 750 below, and we’ve also included information about the other Vitamix blenders on sale this Prime Day.

Our best overall blender and the same one Moon Juice founder Amanda Chantal Bacon told us she employs in both her shops and at home. “I love using it because of its ability to whip air into ice cream or tonics or even coconut milk,” she says. “It gives the fluffiest mouthfeel that no other blender can replicate.”

The (less expensive) 5200 has a larger footprint and (very slightly) weaker motor than the 750, but is still plenty powerful enough to tackle any recipe in the book.

$280

It won’t handle nuts and grains quite as well as the two above, but the lower-end Vitamix One is another powerful option if you don’t need or want a bunch of settings, buttons, and attachments.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
