For this week’s “Don’t DillyDally,” we’ve surfaced a range of new things we’re sure will sell out, including a Lunar New Year cookware and condiment set from two of our favorite brands, Glossier’s much-anticipated latest release, and a pretty perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
Our Place often curates seasonal collaborations (including a Lunar New Year collection last year). And for this year’s celebration, it has partnered with Fly By Jing to make a set fit for a feast. The pre-seasoned, brass-handled wok can withstand temperatures up to 600 degrees and comes with a beechwood spatula, handwoven steamer, steamer liners, and cooking chopsticks. The package also includes Fly By Jing’s Triple Threat Set — three tingly, spicy, and dynamic Sichuan sauces for the holiday and beyond.
Loeffler Randall’s classic Leonie ballet flat has a new spin thanks to Salter House. It’s added an embroidered bow on the top with a ribbon that wraps around the side of the shoe. The brands say part of the inspiration was the children’s book The Twelve Dancing Princesses — and we think the playful but elegant look captures that perfectly.
If you want to get your hands on this extremely limited-edition soy sauce from Momofuku Goods, act fast. Its last batch sold out in just a few days. Unlike the brand’s regular bottles, these are aged in bourbon barrels from NYC-based Kings County Distillery (which, full disclosure, is co-owned by our editor-in-chief), yielding a deeper, richer flavor than usual with warming notes of caramel and vanilla.
We’re big fans of Bombas over here (its socks are in our guides for both women and men) — and now, Venus Williams has teamed up with the brand to create ankle- and quarter-length styles featuring new colors and design details. We love the slightly higher ones in particular; they feature a cute set of stripes up top that will show above your sneaker.
Another exciting Lunar New Year release: Lululemon’s clothing collection made in collaboration with Michelle Yeoh. The pieces are cozy (think crewneck sweatshirts, half-zips, sweatpants, and puffers) and all united by a few distinct warm tones: bright crimson, deeper red, and a purply cassis color.
Readers of The Strategist Beauty Brief heard it first, but Glossier launched a new eye cream as its apology for discontinuing the much-beloved first formula. Full Orbit can be used all around the eye — including on the lid — and it’s meant to hydrate, depuff, brighten, and smooth fine lines with a lightweight gel-cream texture.
Housewares brand Piglet (which makes bedsheets we love) has several new launches, including a bunch of kids bedding and gingham linen quilts. But we’re most intrigued by these hibernation-worthy housecoats. They’re reversible, so the checks can be the focus or a quieter detail — and either way, they look perfect for chilly mornings and couch lounging.
Even if you’re not as water-bottle obsessive as we are here at The Strategist, you might have noticed the second online resurgence of Stanley’s Quencher. Now you can get a new reusable vessel that has a very similar profile and straw mechanism for all-day sipping from MiiR. It’s made from insulating recycled stainless steel, it’s spillproof, and it fits in most cup holders. And whether or not the similar build is coincidence, we trust the brand since it makes our favorite reusable travel mug.
Kitchenware brand Bodum has long collaborated with the MoMA Design Store — and in celebration of Bodum’s 80th anniversary, it’s launched a new exclusive collection of decidedly kindercore goods. You’ll find quite a few of the products it’s known for, like the signature French press, a grinder, an electric kettle, and a scale. But it doesn’t stop there: Find a toaster, martini glasses, and more.
We’ve written about Cybex’s transforming stroller before — and the latest in its lineup of kids’ gear is this learning tower that attaches to the brand’s high chair to expand and extend use. It’s designed to support the child’s body and elevate them to their parents’ height so they can join in for activities like brushing teeth and cooking.
For those of you already doing Valentine’s Day recon (a good idea, we think), consider this sweet duo of classic Diptyque scents: berries and roses. They come in playful, graphic boxes, and the logos are heart-shaped spins on the classic — an A+ gift (for your loved one or yourself) if we’ve ever seen one.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
