While Prime Day is typically all about things that are on sale, this year Amazon is adding to the fun by releasing a slew of new products available just to Prime members — and for a limited time only. They’re calling it Prime Day Launches, though, somewhat confusingly, these deals are already live (even though Prime Day doesn’t officially start until July 15). So if you’re itching to get an early start, we sorted through all of the Prime Day Launch deals to find some of the most exciting, shiny and new items, many of which are actually updated versions of things we’ve covered before. Read on for the best stuff for your kitchen, apartment, and closet from these new product launches — and as with all Prime Day deals, everything will be on sale until supplies run out, so don’t dillydally.
Sony’s noise-canceling headphones are a favorite of our tech columnist David Pogue, and though this is a slightly different model than the one he loves the most, it is $100 cheaper (and appear very similar).
Writer Steven John calls the Rocketbook Everlast Reusable Smart Notebook “the coolest notebook [he’s] ever seen — the pages feel like paper, but they’re made of a polyester composite that’s fully erasable with a damp cloth when you write on it with the right kind of ink (Pilot FriXions are what Rocketbook suggests).” Once you’re done writing or doodling, the notebook allows you to back up your analog work digitally before you wipe the proverbial slate clean. The newer version of the notebook that’s launching this Prime Day includes six extra pages, so you won’t need to wipe them clean as often.
Readers of our Don’t Dillydally posts likely already know that Hanna Andersson makes very adorable baby and toddler clothes for Amazon’s line Moon and Back. They also likely already know that we think this stuff will sell out fast.
Here’s a charming two-piece pajama set for toddlers from the Hanna Andersson/Amazon collaboration that we suspect won’t be long for this world.
Prime members can also buy the shaver we crowned “the best electric foil razor” — but in a new, sleek silver color — as part of the Launch Day deals.
This four-piece cookware set from Lodge is basically indestructible, and includes a skillet, round griddle, and five-quart Dutch oven (a version of which writer Mia Leimkuhler and her husband love to use for making no-knead bread at home).
Back in 2017, Alison Freer told us about this little device that helps her keep track of her pets while she’s gone. It “uses a 1080p HD camera and two-way audio stream, with built-in microphone and speaker, to help you monitor your pet.” The latest model, which just launched, is also programmed with Alexa.
Mr. Coffee’s all-in-one pour-over set seems like the perfect gadget for anyone who wants to make pour-over coffee at home, but doesn’t want to spend the time buying all the gear (kettle, pour-over contraption, filter, container) individually. This set’s temperature-controlled gooseneck kettle is similar to the Stagg EKG, which we’ve deemed the best (and best-looking) electric kettle, but costs far less than the Stagg, which retails for around $149.
A favorite protein powder of actress Molly Sims — who adds the collagen supplement to her smoothies and juices — now in a tasty blackberry flavor.
We’ve featured a professional seamstress’s rave reviews about Sunbeam’s irons, and this one comes with a lot of convenient bells and whistles: cordless functionality (it can stay hot for up to a minute without being attached to its plug-in base), an LED indicator that’ll remind you when it’s losing heat, and adjustable steam and fabric controls.
This handsome briefcase from Briggs & Riley, a favorite luggage-maker of the jet-setting crowd, should hold up well for quite some time (one traveler told us she’s been using the same Briggs & Riley suitcase for 15 years and only had to make one small repair). And when the time for a spruce-up comes, the brand makes it especially easy via its lifetime warranty. The briefcase is already temporarily out of stock, though, so you might have to wait a bit longer than one or two days to get it.
We’ve written before about how much people who use air fryers love them. This compact model won’t hog counter space in smaller kitchens, features a temperature control ranging from 200 to 400 degrees, and perhaps best of all, is dishwasher-safe.
These candles, which come in fresh scents like lavender, persimmon, and orange eucalyptus, would make an ideal hostess gift for all of those summer weekend trips you’ve got planned. Their wooden wicks are particularly interesting-looking, and makes them seem more expensive. Plus, they make a campfirelike crackling noise as they burn, which is about as authentic as it gets without requiring a trip to the woods.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
