For me, Cyber Monday is best spent getting into the holiday spirit by shopping for gifts for the kids in my life. As the Strategist’s toys writer, it is my job to find the best deals on the coolest and most in-demand toys for kids of all ages. And the discounts are very good this year, so there is no shortage to choose from. To help narrow things down, I’ve gathered the best Cyber Monday deals that would make great gifts for kids, from a set of bug-shaped bath toys to a pair of Bluetooth headphones.
As with my list of the best Cyber Monday toy deals, everything here is at least 20 percent off, and many of the gifts I’ve included are products I’ve written about after testing them myself or collecting recommendations from fellow parents. Cyber Monday is winding down, so if you see a great price on something you like, check out sooner rather than later. And to stay up to date on all of our sales coverage, Cyber Monday and otherwise, sign up for our email newsletter.
Update on December 2: Updated prices and checked stock for all products.
The Deals I Personally Think Are the Best
If you have an older tween or teen in your life, this pair of half-off Beats Bluetooth headphones would make an impressive present; teen boys we talked to about their wish lists mentioned headphones as their No. 1 music gift. American Girl is offering 30 percent off a bunch of dolls and accessories for Cyber Monday, including some of the Disney Princess dolls — a rare and very good deal. And as the mom of an increasingly rowdy toddler, I would love to unwrap this indoor jungle gym from Avenlur. It’s currently 50 percent off, can be used in a bunch of different ways — for climbing, rocking back and forth, or as a slide — and folds up for storage.
Under $25
Sarah’s Silks is a personal favorite brand of mine, and even though its products are expensive, I think they’re worth it. This pair of silk wings would make a fabulous dress-up accessory for a kid who loves to play pretend.
Give the toddler in your life their very own working Dyson vacuum cleaner.
This set of stickable foam bugs have been my almost-2-year-old’s favorite bath toy for over six months now. I’m buying another set for my friend’s son now that they are on sale.
More bugs! These ones are in the form of over 500 stickers and come with habitats to stick them on and bug coloring pages, too.
Monster High dolls are among the most popular fashion dolls for older kids, and this one that comes with a pet dog and a doggie carrier is 40 percent off.
I know quite a few adults who would love to have one or several of these block-animal figures designed by artist Andy Rementer, myself included. But they’d also be a cool gift for a creative kid.
Under $50
Magna-Tiles are always a good gift, and right now the whole site is 20 percent off. I love that this set comes with a mix of regular and micro-size pieces and that you can store them all inside the spaceship piece.
I featured this recently released set of Frank Lloyd Wright building blocks in my list of November’s top new toys, and now it’s 30 percent off.
Strategist contributor Youngna Park recommends these simple building blocks because they’re “simple, versatile, and basically indestructible.”
Tweens will appreciate that this Tamagotchi is wearable. You’ll appreciate that it’s 30 percent off.
Clixo’s Ocean Creatures pack was featured in the Strategist’s 2024 print gift guide thanks to its innovative design and glow-in-the-dark pieces. It’d make a great gift for kids in elementary school.
Under $100
Yoto Mini audio players are an incredible gift for children as young as 3 and as old as 12 or 13. They don’t often go on sale, so you’d be smart to buy one now.
With its 3-D “Tonie” figures that make the player start playing songs, stories, and educational content, the Toniebox is geared for younger kids. I have one at home, and it keeps my son busy for quite a while. Plus, it has taught him the words to a bunch of songs and introduced him to Elmo, Paddington, and Elsa, among other favorite characters.
A good deal on a set of extra controllers for the Nintendo Switch.
A Malibu mansion for Barbie, now over 40 percent off.
Under $200
American Girl has updated its sales for Cyber Monday and is now taking 30 percent off select dolls and accessories, including a few Disney princess dolls.
Here’s another Magna Tiles set I’m eyeing that would make a great gift for kids around age 3 and older. The city set comes with 110 pieces including specialty shapes like windows and staircases.
I included this dollhouse in my guide to expensive-but-worth-it toys because its 360-degree open-concept design lets kids play together more peacefully.
This jungle gym fits right in with the other furniture in your living room.
Over $200
Lovevery is taking 20 percent off this newly released play kitchen that features a real working sink, utensil drawer, and drying rack.
Lalo’s well-designed play kitchen is 25 percent off and would make any discerning preschooler (and/or their design-minded parents) very happy.
This electric Segway scooter would be an excellent gift for teens who don’t have easy access to a car.
