I’m Constantly Testing Robot Vacuums—Here Are the Five Best Prime Day Deals

I’m obsessive about keeping my floors clean. After over a year of testing robot vacuums and using them to combat the dirt my pups drag in every day, I’m not sure I can go back to a life without one. With the push of a button on my phone or a quick voice command, I can set my robot vacuum on a new cleaning job (vacuuming or mopping) while I’m running errands; my floors have never been cleaner. I’ve tried ones that excel at picking up even tiny particles, some that do both vacuuming and mopping, and others that require more hands-on work but save you some cash. They all have different mapping capabilities (I think iRobot has some of the best software among the bunch) and brush systems, and those that mop do so in different ways that will affect how well they clean your floors.

Even if you’re not as particular about the cleanliness of your floors as I am, robot vacuums can still be a delightful addition to your arsenal of home-cleaning tools. If you get one with a docking station, you can go several cleaning jobs before having to empty the dirt chamber, and my favorite vacuum-mop combo even has a self-cleaning function for the mopping pads.

Once you’ve found a robot vacuum that seems to suit your needs, though, the price tag can be an immediate deterrent. Thankfully, it’s Prime Day, and I’ve seen some pretty great deals on a few of my favorite robot vacuums, plus a few more affordable ones if you’re just looking to dip your toe into the world of puck-shaped cleaning robots. If you’re looking for deals outside of robovacs, my fellow writers and I have wrangled together the best tech deals, fashion deals, kitchen deals, vacuum deals, and other deals that are truly worth acting on this Prime Day.

A do-it-all robot vacuum

Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
$765
$765

If you want a robot vacuum that’ll vacuum and mop your floors with minimal hands-on work, I love the X2 Omni. It has self-cleaning mopping pads and several options for managing how much water it uses while it mops. Plus, its vacuum does well with large and small debris. It’s worth its normal price if you really care about clean floors, but at 40 percent off, now’s the time to grab one.

Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni
$515
$515

If you’re willing to buy the previous generation of the X2 Omni, it’s still a great robot vacuum and mop; its navigation just isn’t quite as customizable.

A reliable robot vacuum

iRobot’s Roomba j7+ doesn’t have mopping capabilities, but it has object recognition and a nicer-looking dock, plus a dual-brush cleaning system that surprised me with how effectively it picked up all the dirt that finds its way into my home. It’s half off right now, which is pretty great for our best robot vacuum overall.

A less-expensive robot vacuum

eufy X8 Pro
$310
$310

Pricier robot vacuums have all the bells and whistles, but many affordable options are still packed with impressive features and efficient cleaning. I like Eufy’s balance between pricing and smart capabilities in its products, and this one stands out for having a self-emptying dock despite being significantly cheaper than other models that have one. Because it doesn’t use a camera for navigation like higher-end vacuums, though, it doesn’t have object recognition.

An even cheaper robot vacuum

eufy L60
$180
$180

If you’re willing to forgo the self-emptying dock and clean your vacuum yourself, this one’s hard to beat at under $200 today.
