Joshua Rubin, owner of Whisk Bakery Cafe, in Ditmas Park, went missing nearly two months ago; you may have seen the ‘Missing’ signs on storefronts or in subway stations.
On Wednesday, a shot and burnt body in Lehigh County, Pa., was identified as Rubin’s. Rubin died of a gunshot wound on November 1, only a few days after he was last seen leaving his Kensington residence. The body was then burnt beyond recognition — police were unable to collect fingerprints for ID. Eventually, through a combination of dental records and DNA, authorities were able to confirm the body’s identity.
