After several weeks of nonstop holiday and end-of-year sales, most retailers have effectively shuttered their clearance sections. What sales there are to sift through have paltry size and color options. (Believe me: I spent hours combing through hundreds of products at Amazon, Nordstrom, Shopbop, and more to find what little gems exist.) So the deals that I’ve included in today’s roundup are only the truly good picks with plenty of stock.
On Monday, Reformation added more styles to its Winter Sale and increased the discounts to up to 70 percent off. Fashion writer Ambar Pardilla added plenty of new picks to her roundup on the sale, and I included some personal favorites here. Also on the clothing front, Seasalt Cornwall, a brand I discovered while scrolling through Nordstrom this week, is having a sale on fuzzy socks and slippers — some are over 70 percent off.
In other sales news, Amazon is having a surprisingly good sale on useful wellness and household products, including air purifiers, teeth-whitening strips, and protein powder. Also in the mix: good deals at Baggu and lots of skin-care products at Ulta.

Good news if you have a fitness-based New Year’s resolution: One of our favorite plant-based protein powders is nearly 40 percent off. It’s made with a blend of pea, chia-seed, and brown-rice proteins; fitness writer Jeremy Rellosa likes to mix it into shakes.
Drag queen Farrah Moan is an evangelist for this moisturizer, which is a whopping 50 percent off. “I recommend it to anyone I talk to about products,” she says. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, which hydrates and brightens skin over time.
For extra-dry skin (or eczema), this French-pharmacy moisturizer is fragrance-free and pregnancy safe.
If, like us, you’re already a fan of Verb’s Ghost lightweight and sulfate-fre shampoo, you’ll be delighted to know that the 32-ounce value size is 40 percent off, a rare deal for the brand.
As is the brand’s conditioner, which we named our best overall pick. Strategist managing editor Kelsie Schrader depends on it to keep her curls shiny, soft, and defined.
If you just want to try it out to see if you like it, the regular 12-ounce bottle is on sale for 20 percent off, too.
Strategist senior editor Simone Kitchens says this nourishing eyebrow serum returned her brows to “what I had going on pre-ninth-grade before I tweezed it all away.” It’s also earned a coveted spot in the Strategist Beauty 100.
You have until Saturday night to take 30 percent off a slew of skin-care products at Ulta. On Sunday, a new set of items will be on sale. I pulled out all my top picks from Ulta’s “Love Your Skin” sale here, but the most popular product with Strategist readers has been this nonirritating, on-the-go facial hair-removal tool approved by Emma Roberts.
A small selection of items are 50 percent off for 24 hours only each day of the Ulta sale. One of today’s picks is Peace Out pimple patches, which are thin enough to be undetectable on bare skin and can be worn under makeup.
Another today-only deal: Ole Henriksen’s color-correcting eye-cream stick. It contains two forms of vitamin C, plus caffeine to energize and de-puff the area.
J.Crew rarely lets me down on the sales front, and this weekend it is having an especially good one: All sale items are an extra 50 to 70 percent off with the code SALETIME. Our best black turtleneck is just $18 (over half off).
A pop of color to negate your all-black wardrobe.
Former Strategist writer Jordan Bowman says this heavyweight workwear-inspired chamois shirt is cozy and “gets me out of wearing the same sweatshirt day after day.”
I’m over bouclé as an upholstery option, but on a shacket, it’s much cuter.
To my surprise, Reformation’s winter sale, which began in December, got even better this week. Fashion writer Ambar Pardilla, who’s been covering the sale since it went live, added plenty of new picks to her roundup, like this $99 wool sweater.
I’d really suggest filtering by size in the jeans section, as stock greatly varies. I’m thinking of buying this pair from Ambar’s Best Jeans on Sale guide, which are still in stock in sizes 29 through 34.
For non-denim pants (and more), Ambar suggests Caro Editions’ sale section this week. This pale-pink pair is half pajama, half carpenter pant.
Another nice pink garment, this time courtesy of Hanna Andersson, where all Valentine’s Day clothing is up to 30 percent off.
Baggu doesn’t have sales very often, so I’d get on this one ASAP. Select items are up to 60 percent off until the 14th, including one of our best fanny packs. It’s half off in six colors; I like the deep-royal-blue lapis shade.
I can attest that the brand’s crescent bags are just as good as everyone says. Just a few colors are on sale, and this one from the Collina Strada collaboration is the cheapest.
A set of inexpensive gloves and a hat that won’t be too devastating a loss if they leave it on the playground.
I’d never heard of Seasalt Cornwall before, but turns out it makes cute stuff and is having an excellent sale. All sale items are an extra 20 percent off at checkout. I’ve been most enamored with these fuzzy slippers, which are only $19.
The sock selection is very good. The fluffy lining on this pair caught my eye.
The men’s version has Fair Isle patterns and some stripes, too.
Another new brand I learned about this week: Sun Buddies, a Chris Black–approved brand that’s having a massive sale on dozens of sunglasses. These are over $100 off!
Writer and resident bedding expert Lauren Ro spotted a surprise sale on our best linen duvet cover at Nordstrom. It’s 25 percent off (a good deal for Parachute) and has seven colors to choose from in the full/queen size.
I also spotted Hay’s now-discontinued Rainbow plates on sale — a set of four is less than $40!
And here’s a handsome trivet from Graf Lantz that comes in four rich colors: burgundy (pictured here), moss, turmeric, and granite.
