If you haven’t realized, Black Friday weekend is the best time for gift shopping — you can get started on checking off your list, and save a few bucks along the way. Because of the sheer amount of Black Friday sales that are still live, we decided to dedicate an entire gift guide for, well, just about anyone you’re looking to give a gift to — from the mom who swears she doesn’t want anything to the tween who’s over everything. Welcome to One-Stop Black Friday Gift Shop. I included some of the Strategist greatest-hits that are on sale (like Sandy Liang’s fleece-lined Merrells) and went searching through all our sales posts for more surprises (including a column plant trellis) You can also check out our deal editor’s full guide to the best Black Friday sales, and sign up for our sales newsletter for Cyber Week — and beyond.

Gifts for Moms

Make the mom who says she doesn’t want anything feel much-appreciated with Augustinus Bader’s moisturizing Rich Cream, the Merrells Sandy Liang dedicated a haiku to, or J.Crew pajamas Ottessa Moshfegh can’t live without.

Gifts for Dads

For the dad who says he doesn’t want anything, I found an on-sale Solo Stove for camping out in the backyard, smart bird feeder that’s be fodder for the family group chat, and a do-it-all alarm clock that comes with a sunrise mode for a gentle wake-up call.

Gifts for Grandparents

If we learned anything from our 1,000-Senior Survey, it’s that grandparents don’t want another digital-picture frame or DNA-test kit — instead, get yours something actually useful, like these French wool slippers (supposedly, these were worn by the courtiers in the Sun King’s court), a throw blanket they can throw on, or a cordless lamp to carry around the house.

Gifts for Sisters

Surprise your sister a hairbrush that’s been touted as better than Mason Pearson, the robe influencers wear in their “get ready with me” videos, or a Lands’ End tote that’s a little less obvious than L.L.Bean’s.

Gifts for Brothers

Don’t let your brother, whether he’s older or younger, be one of those hard-to-shop-fors — a JBL speaker that comes with its own carabiner, a resident runner’s “heating pad on steroids,” or a fitness tracker that’ll count every one of his steps will get you a sincere thank you (and maybe even a hug).

Gifts for Wives and Girlfriends

Give the discerning wife or girlfriend a splurge — that’s just so happens to be on sale. (She doesn’t have to know how much you spent!) I’m thinking Alex Mill’s threefer, a swan-topped bottle from indie perfumer Gumamina with notes of blood orange and dark chocolate, or a Smythson notebook that comes with a ribbon for marking her last entry.

Gifts for Husbands and Boyfriends

Get your husband or boyfriend something he wouldn’t ever get himself, like like an easy-to-use Theragun, Away carry-on for an already-booked flight, or an Alessi electric kettle for a late-night instant-noodle cravings.

Gifts for Tween and Teen Girls

Getting a gift for a teen or tween girl is tricky — you want to be out-of-the-loop with the newest TikTok trend. You can’t go wrong with a Baggu bag charm to hang on the Baggu she got for her birthday, Starface pimple-patches, and Gen Z’s go-to white crew socks.

Gifts for Tween and Teen Boys

Getting a gift for a teen or tween boy is tricky too — though everything featured here was featured in our “gifts they actually want” gift-guide series.

Toy Gifts for Toddlers

Pull them away from an iPad screen with magnet tiles that’ll make less of a mess than Legos, a Squishmallow in the shape of the animal of the year, and a Toniebox that the parents on the Strategist staff approve of.

White-Elephant Gifts

For a white-elephant gift exchange, your friends will be fighting over who gets a huge bucket of Maldon salt, a trellis that plants can lean on, and tinned fish (a three-pack of smoked salmon, mackerel with chili flakes, and sardines in hot pepper).

The Strategist is designed to surface useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Every product is independently selected by our team of editors, whom you can read about here. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
