The Strategist now has 13 hyperfocused “100” series, from travel, lighting, and toys, to sleep, menswear, and beauty essentials. (Find the whole collection here.) But it all started with the Strategist 100, which has always served as a display case for the best of the very best stuff we’ve written about.
Every six months, our team pores over the hundreds of stories that have been published on the site and cherry-picks our many already-cherry-picked things to find the items we’re most confident about. Some are so classic, we doubt they’ll ever budge from the list (like Amy Sedaris’s fuchsia paper towels or Japanese nail clippers we first about in 2016). Newer entries are here by the sheer numbers, like the Not-a-Stanley water bottle that 11 of our staffers own or the travel backpack that has convinced thousands of our readers to give up their suitcases.
Here’s how it works: The title of each product is linked to the first Strategist post about it, which you can click on for a refresher on why we love it so much. Or click the “Buy” button to head straight to the retailer to make a purchase. We have picks at every price point, from $5 to $1,000, so take your time, tool around, and discover what delights you.
