Though Richard Heene still denies that the balloon caper was a hoax, the Fort Collins, CO sheriff announced last night that it’s likely that charges will be filed soon and that there will be another press conference today to clear things up. Representatives of the Sheriff’s office were seen searching the Heene family home late into the night. Meanwhile, Gawker bought (literally) the story for sale by a former assistant of Heene’s that offers evidence that he was planning a stunt like this, and also has quotes from a TMZ comment presumably left by Heene saying they thought Falcon was in the balloon.
