A young conservative activist received a lesson in how to best conduct an “ambush interview” tonight from none other than Bill O’Reilly. Jason Mattera, the author of Obama Zombies: How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation, was invited on the show, where he shared a clip of his recent “ambush” of Al Franken in which he queried the senator on the details of the health-care reform bill in a stairwell, in what eventually turned into an angry confrontation.
O’Reilly, like a sage professor, took the opportunity to offer guidance to the young author on how to get the most out of an interview subject.
“Take advice from somebody who has been in it 35 years,” he said. “You’re going to get further if you just pull back a little.”
