We may have an irrational fear of terrorist animals (including but not limited to birds and raccoons), but we’ve always had a soft spot for the most melancholy of NYC wildlife — Sad Panda. We tracked his movements last spring, despaired when he went missing last summer, and celebrated his return last fall. We’re not sure how he’s been surviving these 90-degree days, but finally his likeness has been immortalized forever until Google takes new pictures on Google Maps street view! However, his proximity to the tunnel concerns us … could Sad Panda be a mole person?
