Vladimir Putin’s ruling United Russia party lost nearly 100 seats in parliamentary elections today. But with just shy of 50 percent, the party is likely to retain control by lassoing in one of the many pro-Kremlin “opposition” parties. As for Putin’s expected presidency bid, it’s still a walk in the park.
