In his latest column, the Washington Post’s Al Kamen analyzes the “scrawly, nearly illegible” signature new Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel put on a letter to a former Senate colleague, declaring, “he’s giving Treasury Secretary Jack Lew a run for his money.” Sure, it’s a bit messy, but Hagel has a few discernible letters in there. Having a signature that resembles a Peanuts character’s hair, particularly when there aren’t many loopy letters in your name, is an achievement. Let’s not take this from Lew.
