After a six month investigation, New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman is suing one New York City gas station for price-gouging during Hurricane Sandy. The state is also suing three in Long Island and settled with 25 in counties surrounding the city. The one lucky winner in the five boroughs: “Sonomax gas station in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, which allegedly marked up prices by 88% to $4.59 per gallon after the storm.” And thus it enters Sandy lore.
