31-year-old Karif Ford, 32-year-old Basim Henry, 33-year-old Kevin Roberts, and 29-year-old Hanif Thompson were arrested last night and charged with murder, carjacking, weapons possession, and other crimes in the death of 30-year-old Dustin Friedland. Friedland was shot in the head last Sunday as he and his wife got into their Range Rover outside of Millburn’s Mall at Short Hills. “It was the car, not the person, that appears to be the target of this crime,” said Essex County prosecutor Carolyn Murray, who added that “a number of things” led investigators to the suspects.
