Cabbies pick up all kinds of drunken wackos, so it’s maybe a little surprising that incidents like the odd carjacking related in the Post on Thursday don’t happen more often. But when they do, they sure make for entertaining reading! After hailing a cab outside a Chelsea bar, a man and woman asked the driver to stop at Seventh Avenue and 23rd Street, where the woman stayed in her seat and the man jumped out and sprawled across the hood. “When the 38-year-old hack jumped out to confront the man, the nutcase quickly hopped off, smashed the passenger’s side window, climbed through the broken window into the cab, got behind the wheel and sped off.” They found the cab later, but the world’s worst passengers are still at large.
