Things are reportedly quite smoky at the 181st St. A-train station in upper Manhattan, which filled up with smoke around just after 2 p.m. this afternoon. According to the FDNY, the cause for concern is just a fire, but some on the scene say they heard explosions and smelled a “chemical-like” smell.

Probably not a huge deal in the long run, but let’s hope you didn’t have any urgent business way uptown.
