Mort Zuckerman Won’t Sell the Daily News After All

Billionaire Mort Zuckerman has decided to hang on to the New York Daily News. “As you know, several months ago I announced exploring the sale of the Daily News,” wrote Zuckerman, in a memo obtained by AdWeek. “I have met with several potential interested and well-intentioned suitors during this process. For a variety of reasons, I have decided to withdraw the Daily News from the market and have instructed our financial advisers to inform the suitors.” Zuckerman went on to praise the paper’s online operation, writing that, “We have further sharpened our focus on how best to move the business forward in this new digital era.” Find another tabloid to buy, everyone.
