Though October 31 has come and gone, we did happen to spot a few (surprisingly tasteful) ghosts of this Halloween past in Target’s clearance section — all from John Derian’s vintage-inspired Halloween collection. And while you may have already packed up your Halloween décor, make no mistake. Lots of these subtly spooky, antique-inspired pieces are still plenty fit for fall (or, of course, for next year). A lot of the collection is still in stock, but much like the jack-o’-lantern sitting on your neighbor’s stoop, we suspect our favorites below — including a creepy-cute cat pillow and a skeleton-inspired serving tray — won’t be here for long.
Nothing can zhuzh up a sofa, we think, quite like a bird of prey.
While it’s bad luck if a black cat crosses your path, it’s good luck to find a black cat tote bag on sale.
A non-chintzy skull and crossbones throw pillow, complete with gold beading and contrast edges.
While you might have to wait for next year to use this spiderweb cake stand (or a Spiderman-themed birthday party), it’s dishwasher safe for easy clean up.
This horn owl pillow would be a hoot in any home.
A 19th-century-inspired, dishwasher-safe serving platter for carrion hors d’oeuvre.
Because this cat throw pillow is outfitted with a red bow and bell, we think it’d make for an only slightly cursed Christmas decoration.
A very witchy (and Milton Glaser–esque) canvas tote.
A smug-looking, 19th-century-inspired hawk to watch over your nest.
At just about $3 a pop, these fall-appropriate plates would make for a budget-friendly addition to any gallery wall.
Printed with an antique-inspired etching, here’s a surprisingly stylish (and not-too-sinister) throw pillow.
Tibia, or not tibia? That is the question.
A slightly spooky jack-o’-lantern for Halloween treats.
And for next Halloween, a vintage-y apron for bewitching your caldron (or staring at your Instant Pot).
