This Presidents’ Day, there are many mattress deals to be had, and since many of these deals are already live, we went ahead and put together a list of the best of the best. Most brands are dropping prices by at least $100, while others are throwing in free bedding accessories, like pillows or sheets. We’ve even got some exclusive discount codes only available to Strategist readers — so be sure to note if there’s a discount code listed for the mattress you like. Not sure which one to buy? Check out our favorite Strategist-tested mattresses, here. (And in order to make comparison shopping a little easier, we’re showing prices for queen-size mattresses, unless otherwise noted.)
Allswell
Allswell is offering 15 percent off all mattresses, as well as 20 percent off all bedding with code PREZ. We suggest the Luxe Hybrid, which we crowned the best firm mattress for those who need a little more support while they snooze.
Aviya
Aviya, a mattress that former Strategist writer Lori Keong called “soft but supportive,” is offering $200 off twin, twin-extra-long, full, and queen sizes with code STRAT200. Or take $250 off king and California king sizes with code STRAT250.
Avocado
Avocado, our pick for the best ecofriendly mattress, is offering $200 off any mattress with code FLAG200 this Presidents’ Day. There’s a bunch of extras, too: The code 2FREEPILLOWS will get you two free molded latex pillows with your mattress, the code ALPACA100 will get you $100 off alpaca mattress pillow toppers, and BED150 will give you $150 off any bed frame with a mattress purchase.
Bear
Bear, whose mattress we named the best for serious athletes, is offering 20 percent off across the site with code STRAT20. Plus, it’s also throwing in two of its down-alternative, hypoallergenic Cloud pillows for free with every mattress purchase.
Birch by Helix
Birch by Helix mattresses have layers of breathable latex, wool, and natural cotton to increase airflow and keep you cool, and now through February 29, take $200 off its mattress with code STRAT200.
Casper
Strategist readers can take 15 percent off any Casper mattress using the code STRAT15. When former Strategist editor — and stomach-sleeper — Margaret Rhodes tested the mattress she noted that while it skews “a tad softer,” and hot-sleepers don’t always love the foam, “for everyone else, you can’t go wrong.” We also recommend the Casper Essential Mattress, which we dubbed the best choice for kids.
Cocoon by Sealy
This Presidents’ Day, Sealy’s mattress-in-a-box comes with a 25 percent off discount and two free foam pillows (a $179 value), plus a cotton sheet set (a $99 value). The Chill mattress — which absorbs and dissipates heat — is ideal for sleepers who always ends up kicking off the covers in the middle of the night.
Eight Sleep
Eight Sleep is giving Strategist readers an exclusive deal: $200 off the Pod, a “smart” mattress that comes with sleep-tracking technology and temperature control, with code STRATEGIST. They’re also throwing in a free accessory — your choice of a gravity blanket, a eucalyptus sheet set, a kit of sleep supplements, or blue light-blocking glasses — with purchase.
Helix
Helix, which offers nine different mattress options based on the way you sleep, has a three-level deal this Presidents’ Day, exclusive for Strategist readers. Get $100 off any mattress order with code STRAT100; get $150 off when you spend $1,250 or more with code STRAT150; get $200 off when you spend $1,750 or more with code STRAT200. Plus, they’re giving away two free pillows with any mattress order.
Layla
Layla is giving every customer $150 off their mattresses, plus two pillows ($150 value). But Strategist readers can take an additional $10 off with code STRATEGIST. Layla, which is known for its flippable mattress (one side is soft, the other firm), is also offering discounts on weighted blankets, bamboo sheets, memory-foam pillows, foam toppers, mattress protectors, adjustable bases, dog beds, and more, so now’s a good time to upgrade your entire sleeping setup.
Leesa
Leesa is offering $200 off its all-foam original mattress, $300 off its foam-pocket spring hybrid mattress, and $400 off its foam dual-spring legend mattress. If you’re not sure which one to get, Strategist managing editor Maxine Builder says its original “offers excellent pressure relief,” and “should suit all kinds of sleepers.”
Molecule
Molecule is offering 20 percent off any mattress and mattress topper purchase. As a bonus, you’ll get a free set of percale or sateen sheets with your purchase of any mattress, or a free pillow with any mattress-topper purchase.
Nectar
Take $100 off Nectar’s mattresses, which are comprised of two layers of cooling-gel memory foam, plus two memory-foam pillows. And, if you want to add some accessories to your new mattress, Nectar is also offering discounts on different bundles, like the Nectar Bundle (which includes a mattress, foundation, and cotton sheets) and the Nectar Luxury Bundle (which includes a mattress, foundation, cotton sheets, and a mattress protector).
Nest Bedding
Take $300 off Nest Bedding’s top-selling mattresses with code TIME2NEST, including this certified organic hybrid latex number, made using all-organic cotton, latex, and wool.
PlushBeds
This President’s Day, PlushBeds is offering $1,200 off all latex mattresses, $600 off all memory foam mattresses, $100 off all sofa bed mattresses, and $100 off all mattress toppers. With the exclusive code STRAT100, you can also save an additional $100. Or use the code STRAT2020, to get two free organic latex pillows, a plush sheet set, and a mattress protector (a $416 value) with the purchase of a latex mattress.
Purple
For a soft, but still supportive mattress, try Purple, which has springy coils, as well as foam. And from now until February 24, you’ll save up to $150 on mattresses and save another $200 on a sleep bundle, which includes two pillows, bamboo sheets, and a mattress protector.
Saatva
Saatva, which former Strategist editor Simone Kitchens called a “good choice for those in need of back support,” is offering customers $100 off orders of $500 or more. (Saatva’s most inexpensive twin-size mattress is already $699, so it’s not hard to hit the minimum.)
Tempur-Pedic
Tempur-Pedic is offering $300 off its Breeze Mattress, which is an especially good bet for hot-sleepers.
Tuft & Needle
Take $175 off the (already affordable) Mint Mattress, no code required.
WinkBeds
The WinkBeds luxury firm mattress converted Strategist editor Katy Schneider from the type of sleeper who “will only sleep on pillows” to “a firm-mattress person.” WinkBeds is offering $300 off any mattress with code STRAT300.
Yogasleep
Yogasleep is offering deals on their signature Yogabed: $50 off twin sizes, $100 off full sizes, $200 off queen, king, and California king sizes is automatically applied at checkout. But if you want to save even more money on this bed, which is great for couples since it has responsive foam designed to minimize motion transfer, Strategist readers can save an additional $50 with code STRAT50.
Zinus
Zinus is offering 15 percent off their already super-affordable cooling hybrid mattress, which has layers of memory foam over coils and is available in two different thicknesses.
