If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what everyday stuff famous people add to their carts — like hair spray or an electric toothbrush. We asked artist and designer Eny Lee Parker about the baseball cap, drinking glass, and Korean beauty products she can’t live without.
It’s so good. I’m trying to drink less alcohol, and the Ghia Lime is so refreshing. I crave it all the time. It’s so nice and easy as an option. Whenever they have Ghia at restaurants, I much prefer going with that instead of a drink. It’s a good summery, spring drink. They also have other flavors, which are good for fall and winter, but lime is my go-to.
This is what I have in my kitchen, so it’s what I use to drink water. Natalie is a friend, and I love these glasses. She works with a glass artist, and they’re really well made. Drinking from a beautiful glass is so nice, even if it’s just water. We also do cocktails and a little bit of everything in this glass.
I recently got back from Korea, where I became obsessed with this sunscreen. I saw it all over TikTok as well. A lot of sunscreens that I’ve used in the past peel off. This one feels so nourishing, as if you’re putting on a really good lotion. It doesn’t feel cakey like other sunscreens, especially when you wear makeup on top. This one feels hydrating. And it really protects you. I’m in the sun a lot and tan easily. I usually do a vitamin-C serum, then a face lotion, and then sunscreen, and I really feel like my skin just looks way better.
I also got this in Korea. A dermatologist referred it to me when I was there and I really like it. I use it at nighttime before bed, just three or four drops all over my face. It is really gentle, actually, and it feels nice. I haven’t had a crazy breakout. I think both the sunscreen and the retinol have been a great change for my skin, which I try to keep hydrated.
The designer, Morgan Lang, is also a friend. I love wearing friends’ things — it just means more to me. Morgan is super-talented, and her jewelry is timeless. I have a few things from the brand, but this necklace is my go-to. I like the jewelry because it’s very sculptural but also very subtle. It’s just a little bean. It doesn’t scream. It matches with everything.
This blush is very dewy. It’s called Cutie, and it’s a warm dusty rose. I think blush is so important; it just makes you feel alive, fun. This is a liquid that you dab on your cheeks. I use this when I do my makeup in the morning to go out because it’s a stronger foundation. And then I use a lighter Ilia blush if I need a touch-up throughout the day.
I’m a big baseball-cap girl. I wear them quite often because I’m really picky about indoor lighting, especially in elevators or garages, so I always have a hat in my purse. The Palm Heights hat is the perfect cotton fabric and it just wears really well and gives this little vintage vibe the more you wear it. I love it. The outfit is the hat.
It’s a chocolate that I grew up eating in Brazil, so it’s nostalgic. I love milk chocolate. It’s a comfort candy for me. If I go to a bodega or grocery store, I always grab one. I have it too often.
Everything is mixed in this sketchbook. I journal in it, I write my to-do lists, I sketch. Literally, I dump my whole brain into this. In the morning, I write a couple of things down, then I do a to-do list, then I’ll go through emails. If there’s a project that I need to work on, I’ll do a quick sketch, and then later, when I have more time and mental space, I like to go back to those quick sketches and expand on them.
The designing process and what I do is a very small percentage of my work. It’s so much more about managing vendors, orders, my team — all of it. That’s why I use the sketchbook for so many different things, because I’m not quite spending hours a day just being creative or designing. But I like that. I like being able to do all types of things. I still think that everything across the board is creative, but it’s nice to have the notebook around, so whenever something comes up, I can download it into the book.
